MetroMeet is operated by DirecTek LLC, an Ohio limited liability company based in Columbus, Ohio. “MetroMeet,” “we,” and “us” refer to DirecTek LLC.
By creating an account or using MetroMeet, you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Community Guidelines shown in the app.
You must be at least 18 years old to use MetroMeet. You must give an accurate date of birth. A selfie is optional to join, post and reply; a submitted selfie opens Match, and a reviewed selfie opens the Speakeasy tables and adds the check badge. Do not impersonate anyone, create a fake profile, or use someone else's account. We remove accounts when we learn that the member is under 18 or materially misrepresented their identity.
MetroMeet does not allow harassment, hate or slurs, threats, doxxing, sexually explicit content, graphic violence, scams, spam, exploitation, impersonation, or abusive conduct. Do not use MetroMeet to target, intimidate, or repeatedly contact someone who has said no, unmatched, or blocked you.
We may remove or hide content, limit features, suspend an account, or permanently terminate an account that violates these terms or the Community Guidelines. Serious safety violations can lead to immediate removal or termination. Enforcement may also result in loss of a MetroBucks balance or in-app items, subject to any rights the law or Apple requires.
Members can report posts, replies, profiles, messages, plans, profile signatures, Featured endorsements, Marketplace listings and ratings, and supported activity entries. Three independent reports can automatically hide supported content pending review, and a human typically reviews reports within 24 hours. Members can also mute or block people and mute keywords. Blocking cuts off supported contact in both directions.
You keep ownership of the text, photos, clips, messages, profile material, signatures, endorsements, entries, and other content you create. You are responsible for having the rights to share it and for making sure it follows these terms.
You give DirecTek LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and technically modify your content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and support MetroMeet. This license lasts while the content is on MetroMeet and for any limited safety or legal preservation period described in the Privacy Policy. It ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except where the law allows or requires us to keep a copy.
The wall and nearby features are distance-scoped using the area, reach, postal setting, or privacy-offset location anchor a member chooses. Match is optional and only shows active, opted-in members who fit each other's settings. These features help members meet neighbors; they do not guarantee a connection, response, event, or outcome. Respect other members' boundaries everywhere in MetroMeet.
Marketplace has two parts. Market lets members list items for sale to people nearby. Barter lets members trade items without money. Both are for local pickup between adult members.
DirecTek LLC is not a party to any sale or trade. We do not own, inspect, hold, ship, or guarantee any item, and we never handle, hold, send, or refund money. Buyers and sellers agree on the deal themselves and pay each other in person. There is no checkout, shipping, or payment in the app, and MetroBucks cannot be used to buy or sell anything. You are responsible for your listings, for following the law where you live, and for any taxes on what you sell.
Listings may not include payment links or payment handles, links, phone numbers, email addresses, or street addresses. These items cannot be listed: firearms, gun parts, ammunition, explosives, and weapons made to hurt or subdue people; drugs, drug paraphernalia, prescription medicine, and medical devices; tobacco, vapes, e-liquids, and nicotine; alcohol; live animals (pet supplies are fine); adult products and sexual services; stolen or found goods, counterfeits, and replicas; recalled products and hazardous materials; gift cards, cash, currency, IDs, and documents; digital goods, subscriptions, and accounts; body parts, bodily fluids, and used cosmetics; services and jobs; vehicles and real estate; food; and business stock. The full list is in the app under What can't be sold. We remove listings and ratings that break these rules and may limit or suspend the account.
After a sale or a completed trade, the two members can each rate the other from 1 to 5 stars with an optional short review. A rating stays hidden until the other member rates back or 14 days pass. Until then the writer can change or delete it; after that it is final. The member who was rated can reply once. Either member can report a review or a reply that breaks the rules. A member's average appears to others once they have 5 ratings. Ratings must be honest and about that deal. Do not offer anything in exchange for a rating, rate yourself, or pressure anyone over a rating. We may remove ratings that break these terms or the Community Guidelines.
Meet in a public place, look at the item before you pay, and never pay ahead or with gift cards. Report a listing, a rating, or a member from the app if something is wrong.
The wall may include MetroMeet's own first-party house cards. They are labeled Sponsored and chosen by area rather than by a behavioral profile. MetroMeet counts card impressions and clicks on its own server and does not use a third-party ad network or track members across apps for Sponsored cards. If a card opens an external website, that site's own terms and privacy policy apply there.
MetroBucks are virtual items used only inside MetroMeet. They can be earned through app activity or bought as consumable in-app purchases through Apple. MetroBucks are not money, are not a bank balance, have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be sold. Bought MetroBucks never move between members. Until earned and bought MetroBucks are tracked separately, no MetroBucks move between members at all. Apple handles payment; DirecTek LLC does not receive your card number.
We may change how MetroBucks are earned, priced, or used as features change. We may correct a balance affected by fraud, error, reversal, or abuse. Contest scoring errors are corrected before a prize is final, and a balance correction never re-awards a contest prize that is already final. Apple controls App Store billing, refunds, and purchase restoration under its rules.
MetroMeet Plus is a monthly subscription billed through your Apple ID. While active, it currently includes 150 MetroBucks at signup and each renewal, a 1.5× multiplier on eligible MetroBucks earnings, and an exclusive profile frame. The Official rules list which game and contest rewards the multiplier applies to. Benefits may change prospectively; we will describe the current offer before you subscribe.
If Apple decides your Apple ID is eligible, you can try Plus free for the stated trial period shown before purchase. Apple allows one trial per Apple ID per subscription group. The trial converts automatically to the monthly subscription at the price shown unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before the free trial ends, and the subscription then renews automatically each month unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the free trial or of the current month. Cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings.
Plus renews automatically each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges the account within 24 hours before renewal. Manage or cancel Plus from the Manage subscription link in MetroMeet Plus or in your Apple ID subscription settings. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement governs the iOS app where it applies; if it conflicts with these terms, Apple's terms control to the extent required.
The Speakeasy is a simulated casino for members aged 18 or older. Every betting table is one member against the house; there are no member-versus-member betting tables and no pots shared between members. Games use virtual MetroBucks only. MetroBucks cannot be cashed out, never move between members, and games award no cash or prize of real-world value. Every betting table requires a reviewed selfie, meaning a reviewer compared your selfie with your profile photo; a submitted selfie alone does not open a table. The posted rules and odds for each game appear in the app before play.
The Speakeasy is not available in Washington State. Access is decided from the ZIP code, area name and, for a US profile, the saved location already on your profile; no new location request is made.
Games and contests in MetroMeet are run and sponsored by DirecTek LLC. Apple is not a sponsor and is not involved in any contest. The Official rules govern every game and contest, including who can take part, prizes, odds, corrections and forfeits. Read them in the app under Profile → Settings → Legal & support → Official rules, or at metromeet.app/official-rules, and read the details on a contest's screen before entering. No contest awards cash or anything of real-world value.
MetroSports offers fantasy leagues for neighbors. There is no cash entry fee, wagering, payout, or prize of monetary value from MetroMeet. Current league participation costs 100 MetroBucks per member for each covered month; that is a non-cash feature-access charge, not a wager, and it creates no pot or payout. League rules, scoring and costs are in the Official rules. Do not use MetroMeet to organize bets or wagers for money or anything of real value.
Features, open areas, prices, and availability can change. Changes to game and contest rules are posted in the app before they apply, and they never change a contest already running. We may pause or discontinue a feature, and we cannot promise that MetroMeet will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Do not misuse the service, bypass safety controls, probe private data, interfere with other members, or use automated access without our written permission.
You can request deletion in Profile → Settings → Danger zone → Delete my account or by emailing [email protected]. The Privacy Policy explains what is deleted, the 30-day default grace period, immediate-deletion option, media cleanup, and limited records that can be retained.
We may suspend or terminate access for a violation, safety risk, fraud, legal requirement, or material harm to MetroMeet or its members. Sections that naturally need to survive termination—including ownership, the limited content license for retained material, purchase records, enforcement, and governing law—continue to apply.
Ohio law governs these terms, except where applicable law or Apple's terms require otherwise.
We may update these terms as MetroMeet changes. We will update the date above and give notice in the app or on the website when a change is important.

Share only work you have the rights to use. Do not use another person’s copyright or trademark to imply that they endorse you or MetroMeet. Rights holders can email [email protected] with the work or mark, the MetroMeet content location, contact details, and an explanation of their rights and concern. We review reports, remove or disable content when appropriate, and may act on repeat infringement. A member whose content is removed may reply to that address to dispute the decision.
